Abstract

      The study examined industry and its importance in the Arabian Peninsula from the Prophetic mission until the end of the Rashidun era (1–40 AH / 622–661 AD), given its significance in all civilizational aspects. It aimed to understand the role of industrial production, the social classes involved, and the key industries that spread and flourished despite the simplicity of primitive methods in the Arabian Peninsula during one of the most pivotal periods in human history—the time from the Prophetic mission to the end of the Rashidun era.


The researcher divided the study into several sections. The first section addressed the foundations of industry and the factors contributing to its advancement. The second section focused on key food industries, such as food and beverage production and their development. The third section covered metal industries, including precious crafts, blacksmithing, and weapon-making, along with those who worked in these fields. The fourth section explored various other industries, including textile production, leather tanning, and associated crafts, as well as wood and stone industries during that period.
