The social effects of bouleversement wheat prices in the markets of the Levant and Egypt during the eighth AH / fourteenth centuries AD

Wheat is the main food item that most people live on, which constitutes the main material for their daily food, and it is no secret to anyone that the importance of wheat and its significant effects are important on people's lives and daily livelihood, so any impact affects it in terms of high wheat prices or scarcity of supply in the markets, and of course, any negative impact affects it reflected on the overall daily life of people, and this effect was represented by showing the movement of prices for wheat and its impact On the prices of bread and its quality in terms of variation and fluctuation between rise and fall, and its great impact, leads to frequent confrontations between the public and the authority because of that, and so we note that the Levant and Egypt have been exposed to cases of high wheat prices and scarcity in the markets and the occurrence of social unrest and hunger because of that..
