This study aims to provide a sociological analysis of taboos In the Yazidi community, considering them fundamental components in shaping collective consciousness and regulating both religious and social behavior. Taboos play a significant role in defining the boundaries between what is accepted and what is rejected, whether in social relationships or religious practices, thus contributing to the organization of daily life for the Yazidi individual.

The researcher adopts the descriptive-analytical method, relying on personal observations within the studied community, as well as on previous theoretical studies. Accordingly, the study seeks to offer a deeper understanding of taboos in the Yazidi community from both religious and sociological perspectives.

The researcher concludes that taboos are not only religious In nature but also have important social dimensions, as they help regulate social relationships. Therefore, the researcher recommends the necessity of protecting and documenting the Yazidi religious heritage to preserve it from loss, and supporting sociological studies that address communities with unique cultural and religious characteristics, in order to understand the mechanisms of their continuity and adaptation to societal changes and transformations
